“What can I do to get my blood glucose from 90 to 80 quicker?”

There’s a lot of things that come into play when it comes to managing blood sugar levels but it’s important to note 90 mmol/L is within normal ranges(70-99 mmol/L) for the average person. But yes, ideally 80 would be fantastic to be at.

With that being said, for most people, stress is going to be one of the most important factors to consider when controlling overall blood glucose levels.

When they say, “Stress will kill you.” It Literally can in the long run of things.

The first area I would look into would be your relationships, are there any specifically that are causing you any sort of stress. It doesn’t matter who, it can be your parents, girlfriend, friends or coworkers. If you see them on a daily basis or talk to them more often than not, the stress you receive from being around them will come with it every single time until it is addressed.

In short, either fix that relationship or severe it. No one is worth constantly feeling anxious over.

Next let’s take a look at what we’re eating, when we’re eating and how much we’re eating of it. If we’re constantly consuming foods that don’t sit well with us, that’s just more work your body has to go through to digest or expel. If we’re eating too close to bed time, we may definitely see a skew in our BG test in the morning. If we’re constantly over eating we’re probably gaining weight and if we’re gaining weight we’re going to see a rise is blood sugar serum levels.

Lastly if you’ve had a recent injuries(depending on the severity) we’ll see a rise in BG due to your body releasing hormones as a response. For this we just have to play the waiting game for the injury to heal.

Some other questions you may want to ask yourself:

Am I not as active right now?

I’m I dealing with any sickness?

Is my monthly cycle coming up?

Am I drinking enough water?

These are all things will shift your blood glucose levels.

Fast track to having a good BG level:

Sleep 7-9 hours a day, train hard but make sure recovery is on par with training, drink your body weight in ounces of water, do some sort of low intensity and moderate intensity cardio, have a balanced diet, don’t get sick, and don’t talk to people lol.

Obviously this isn’t realistic for most people but this is what we’re shooting for!
